  1. We took it diving in the Florida Keys next to a GoPro Hero4. it did EVERY BIT as well as the much more expensive camera. AND it has features the high priced camera does not.MOST of the critiques you read here come from (let us be kind) “uninformed” users. Yeah, the sound will be muffled when the underwater case is on! That’s kind of what happens when you put something in a plastic case! If you want Great Sound, just as with any camera, you need to pay the price for the ability to connect an external microphone.People complain that it won’t load to the card. .. never a problem.. We are used to using the cards, so we use that as the most common way to move files.People complain that they can’t figure out how to download or control via the App. You have to understand that the CAMERA becomes the Wi-Fi host. There is no router or WiFi network needed (or possible) between your phone and the camera. Simple concept, keeps things simple and safe, but you have to understand “how things work.”We have used the camera to shoot candid footage and stills at graduations. Using it “naked” in the palm of your hand is a hoot.We even used it as a “TrailCam” and posted it on a stump outside a crab hole to catch video of blue crabs using the motion detection feature. It comes with a treasure trove of attachments and brackets. You have to sit and play with some of them. Some Prior experience helps.I’m kinda wishing I would have gone for the 4K version… But I am VERY happy I bought this one!Recommended it to many friends.

  2. I have owned and used my Lightdow LD6000 WiFi action camera for about 2.5 months now.PROS:Overall product quality, the camera itself feels very solid and while I do not have much experience with a GoPro I would say the feel and dimensions are almost indistinguishable as I bought a GoPro accessory kit and they all fit this camera. The screen is a much welcome feature and the interface has been responsive and intuitive to use. I have had no issues thus far with any of the software or plugging it into my computer to download the videos. The built in WiFi allows you to connect to your camera without needing the internet. You can stream live video to your phone from the camera over WiFi as well as download videos stored on your camera to your phone. I was very impressed with how this feature worked. I will note that it tends to use a lot battery and can be confusing to set up with the limited instruction manual, but still impressive.Battery life was impressive! Again I cannot directly compare to a GoPro but I can get almost 2 hours of continuous use out of a single charge. It also came with an extra battery which I have not needed yet!!Video quality was better than I thought. 1080 looks great, maybe not up to par with what I have seen from a GoPro but with a bit of simple post production color correction these videos look really crisp!CONS:The provided documentation is minimal, which might be a problem for those who are not as tech savvy. Otherwise figuring out the camera features is pretty simpleThe sound quality is average at best but all the video I use I put music over anyway so it hasn’t been an issue for me.The provided camera case is not the best I feel like it will be the first thing to break although it has held up so far!Summary:I compared this camera to a GoPro as I feel that is the major competitor/most similar product. Overall I was into this camera with a memory card, accessories, and a 2 year insurance plan for less than $100. I have used it in the water, out of the car window, and on my motorcycle. It has surpassed my expectations and some. If you are in need of an action camera to get the job done for a fraction of what some others cost the Lightdow is your camera!Disclaimer: I paid for this camera in full with my own funds and no incentive/influence from an outside party.

  3.  years ago when these didn’t exist and before GoPro i used a 8MM Cam corder suctioned cupped to my car with a $150 professional movie studio suction cup camera holder. To protect the camera from the elements i found a plastic box which i mounted to the camera holder. Anyway, then i spent the $400 and got a GoPro. awesome camera. About a year later the WiFi crap chute back came out, spent $100 on that and it never worked right. Eventually the sound on my GoPro started to act up. trying to fix it, the 3.5mm jack broke and now it’s an – Silent video camera… So i decided to try this thing out… $50, 1080p 30fps, built in wifi, built in LCD screen, among other cool features… WOW. you can’t go wrong. It comes with a crap load of mounts, Gopro compatible, then you can get a kit on Amazon that comes with more mounts that you’ll ever need for $15…. these camera’s are the shizzle. I like that it comes with an open mount so you can record sound. Now i took this driving today and it made a lot of wind noise… but it is fully open. I wish the case came with 2 doors like GoPro, (the skeleton backing so it can record sound, minimizing the wind noise) but it does not contain this extra door. The case it comes with it’s all sealed, it does not record sound, or if it does it’s very limited. My main complaint is the battery, it doesn’t last that long. it lasted 55m and it was charged about 2 weeks prior. Maybe it’s one of those batteries that only likes to work as soon as it comes off the charger, which shouldn’t be the case.I’ll test it again with a fully charged battery and drive with it to see how long it lasts. Beware of those cheap battery kits you see on here. I got the $15 one with the charger and 2 batteries, and 1 of those batteries lasted 12m even though it’s higher in Mah.So the camera. The LCD panel goes off after 5 seconds or so to save battery. That is a good feature that i was not aware until i got the camera. you press the record button once to active the screen and press the button again to stop or start the video. I haven’t tried WiFi since my phone is old and full, but if it works with problems i’ll update my review.(The video is something i put together for a forum to review the overheating issue of my car. It’s various clips i took with the camera. It’s the main reason why i got the camera since the GoPro had just broken and i needed to record audio. The inside shot of the car…. i didn’t know how it would look since the camera was on my head, but the purpose of this upload is for you to see the quality of the camera. It’s recording at 1080p 30fps).
