  1. While the 950XL is more powerful, the price increase is not justifiable at this time. This phone will do everything you need it to do and then some while providing you with the best call quality aroundIf you already have a Windows Phone 10 device, the upgrade process is pretty painless as you turn on the phone. make some basic choices and then it asks you to sign in. Once you do that, the phone will restore your settings and download all of the applications you had installed before you swapped your phone.Pros:AMOLED ScreenBattery lifeIris scannerIntegration with Windows 10 desktopLight weight for it’s sizeReplaceable battery (if you can find one)USB-C charge/data port where it does not matter how you plug it in since it is reversibleCons:feels kind of cheap in the hand…Microsoft has taken Windows Phone 8 and made it even better in WP 10. and this device shows off those results really well. The hardware makes the OS experience butter smooth and there is absolutely NO lag.The screen is absolutely CLEAR and there is nary a pixel to be seen. text is crisp and easy to read. Color reproduction is very accurate and movies and other well encoded media looks absolutely amazingInternal Storage is 32GB which should be enough room for apps that will not install to the SD card and you get 26 of that for your useExpandable storage is (currently) limited to the largest micro SD card available 200GBBrowsing: It seems to be pretty good… but due to small screen size, not much is gained by the higher resolutionCall quality is excellentBattery life: it will make it through the day on a single charge

  2. I came from an iPhone, and switching to Windows Phone was a great decision. I’m not a super heavy app user, so the gap doesn’t bother me too much; all the apps that I use are available. The OS looks fantastic and runs beautifully on this phone. The camera quality blows me away. The only concern I have with the OS isn’t really with the OS. Some apps that are available on the Windows Store don’t run well on the OS either because they just haven’t been optimized for it, haven’t seen an update in ages, or the updates they receive don’t actually fix much. I notice this the most with Spotify. Having just come from an iPhone, I’m familiar with the most recent interface and features. The Windows app is an old design and lacks a few features I had gotten used to using. Aside from that, though, the app just runs painfully slow, randomly pauses music to load, and crashes way too often. While this is not really a gripe with the phone itself, the lack of developer support for their apps on Windows Mobile is definitely worth mentioning, though it hasn’t ruined the experience for me at all. My main problem with this phone may be specific to my device, but there’s always a chance someone else could end up with some faulty hardware like I did. My phone basically will not connect to WiFi or Bluetooth. It searches for wifi networks for a while, but will always show a ‘no networks found’ message even when there are plenty available. I’ve tried a million things to fix this and nothing happens. It also cannot connect to bluetooth about 90% of the times, and when it does, they music will randomly stop playing as the connection is terrible, and will eventually crash. Only takes about 30 seconds usually. I’ll be returning my phone, but buying a new Lumia 950 after getting my refund just because aside from its connectivity problems I really like the phone. Hopefully the new one won’t have the same issues. If it does, I’ll have to try something else. Also just curious to see if anyone else has experienced these same problems.

  3. Battery would get warm and drain fast and this phone didn’t come with a charger but I had a c to usb cable laying around. After updating the phone to recent updates it fixed the battery problem works very good and phone looks new. Updated review it is now 2018 Aug 1 . I have always given my Honest reviews and usually good reviews based on delivery speed, item arriving on time, comdition and functionality of product received, and never have received a free gift or have been thrown a bone, i have been a customer for many years. My opinion of the 950. I wanted to love it i had waited patiently for Microsoft to work out the bugs, and the updates are relentlessly never ending, and i am unable to download large updates without wifi is a big problem for me, Bing browser sucks the life out of the battery, you don’t get a true 20 mp camera only 19 and that is not 1920x 1080 if you want full image you have to use 16 mp setting. Live image won’t work after update and it never got fixed. Here maps was better but now Microsoft maps has annoying issues for me to many to list for now, sometimes web page images won’t load like picture images on Bing. Updates seem to be never fully tested before release. This phone has a lot of good points when things work like they should. There are and always have been bugs and annoying glitches with this OS not so much of a hardware issue, But that of a software program write issue. Also the phone goes into sleep mode when you are trying to update or trying to download a file and you can no longer turn off sleep mode to never. But these are only my personal opinions of the device. I knew i might have issues with Microsoft OS as i have for years with other products. I was patient because i knew this was a work in progress with the mobile OS, but problems still prevalent. Gps also sucks the battery down very quikly, the phone may charge quikly but it also drains quickly. All in all this has been a very decent phone and has most of the bells and whistles without bloatware installed . Apps are improving, but i knew from the beginning that apps would never be able to replace pc software, So i never had high hopes for them.though they do have a lot of useful apps that people seem to like. Microsoft outlook is good in my opinion like the simplicity and functionality and They weed out spam which is a Huge Plus. This is a Really nice looking phone and for the price i cant complain much.
