Neo-Paris. 2084.Personal memories can now be digitized, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people's minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities have arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this...

  1. I made the title to make it clear that this is a very solid campaign game. I generally play multiplayer games i.e. Battlefield 3, but we all know that those types of games are made mainly for the multiplayer, leaving the campaign pretty poor. Remember Me went for an all-out campaign game and it shows. This is a very detailed game and the team that put this together did an astonishing job. The music, sound effects, the neo look are all great, but the story in this game is outstanding. The story behind Nilin will suck you in and you will look forward to when you can continue the journey in getting your memory back each time you have to quit the game.As others have said you set up your combo moves which at first your hands will hurt just getting the combos pulled off. Once you get used to it – it will be a little more fluid as the game notifies you when you have to hit either “Y” or “X” depending on whether your set up is for damage, self-healing, or cool down. Some enemies are tougher than others and at the end of Episode 2 I actually had to change the difficulty to the lowest setting to defeat the boss. That’s another plus, being able to change the difficulty in order to prevent you from getting frustrated. Again, the story is so good that you will want to beat the heck out of foes in order to find out what’s next.If you are looking for a multiplayer game then pass on this one. If you are looking for a very solid campaign game that just sucks you in then do yourself a favor and pick this game up. Although, this game may be overlooked as I would have missed it if it wasn’t for a recommendation from Amazon. I’m really glad this game found me and I think you will too.

  2. Remember Me is a really different game than anyone is probably used to playing. It’s based around a number of ideas and concepts. You play as a woman who can remix digitized memories. The real difference in this game is that you’re pretty much playing as a rebel who lost her memories, so you’re a wanted criminal. In some ways, its a little bit like an Assassin’s Creed style game.Combat in this game is slippery. You have to be a master of strategy in not only attack, but defense. Timing your dodges in this game is everything, because your character usually ends up battling enemies who are stronger and larger than she is. It’s a game that requires a large quantity of patience and intelligence, rather than just lots of button mashing. There are heavy consequences for dying in the middle of a battle sometimes. If your health hits zero, you’ll be brought back with a single bar of health to fight at the beginning of the last check point before you died. This gets extremely difficult to deal with at times, especially when you’re trying to fight enemies you can’t see, and your fighting controls become more and more complex. (Edit: The further I got in the game, this issue seemed to be resolved, and the character started respawning with full health.)Small things in the world might hang you up here and there–a flipping billboard, a short circuiting electric unit, or not jumping quick enough between platforms, and then dropping down on the ledge instead. There was even a time or two where it really took me a minute to figure out where to go because a room appeared sealed and actually wasn’t.What I can give Remember Me a major thumbs up on is the world around it. Walk around for a little while and just take it in. For the slums that your character slinks around in, there’s a kind of artistic beauty that only a select few games have truly been able to capture–and not exactly in the same way that Remember Me has. It’s kind of like walking around inside The Matrix or some super realistic futuristic painting. The whole game is such an interesting idea. While I wouldn’t suggest it to just anyone and everyone, its still a great game.

  3. Its a Shame that this game was Ignored. With the “Save Sony ” Public Relations In full Effect, This Game was buried under the Last of Us Hype. Along with “RAGE” as a first person Shooter, “Remember Me” is one of the Strongest Graphics in the last Generation. I believe it gives a taste of the new Generation. If you are looking for only open world games, then you probably wont like this. If you are open to other types of Games that you may appreciate This Game. “Remember Me” is a Pure Science Fiction/Future. The voice acting, dialogue, Art style, art work, and Controls are top Notch. I believe if you wont the mimicked controls of Bat Man, Then play Batman. Let This game be what it is. I believe this was french developed. There seems to have been a Growth in animation culture blending western with Japanese anime detail and it works (Triplets of Belleville, Etc) I say enjoy something Different, I am
