A fierce struggle is taking place within the realm of the Norse Gods, as the goddess Hel has been banished for defying Odin, Lord of Asgard. Angry at her fate, Hel has raised an army of resurrected Viking warriors to wipe out all of humanity in the mortal realm of Midgard, as she seeks to bring about Ragnarok -- the apocalyptic battle that that will destroy Asgard and the Gods themselves. The task of stopping Hel and defending the future of mankind falls to Skarin, a promising but deeply flawed young warrior, ignorant of the true reason for his favor with the Gods...

  1. So, its definately similar to other sega games, and to me is mostly a slash and hack game, and is very simliar to this genre. i say that becuase you pick up the “life force” of slain enmies, and steal there spirit. Now, I understand its 2013 and this game is old. Iunderstand that there are newer games out there. But I have been looking for something ENJOYABLE and FUN to play. This is hard though, but it is fun and challenging. There is not enough hand-holding for me, and it is more of a classic RPG, in the sense that it gives you a general ida with a genral area, and has you figure out the rest, and I mean everything else. I started, and it was like ok go at it! The map is an intermiux of map, close locations, and quests. There are no quest trackers, and so quest tracking doesnt exist, I.E. the big white arrows from Skyrim and the Quest Menu in Skyrim. SO, it is really hard. There is some “build an army function”, but you have to fight 100 people by yourself to start building it it seems, unless I missed something but as I sadi theres no direction, so missing something would not be out of the question. You are supposed to build the army, but they don’t fightwith you leaving you to defend against the increasing number of baddies by yourself. I can’t get passed it and since it is the second quest, first quest line, iam attempting, I would say I’m stuck. it is really fun to smash through baddies, and combat is intesne, but it is too hard for me. Still gonna keep trying, and I do enjoy the funness of it, even though I just keep dying in the same place.

  2. Very cool game to play….only grip is that the player moves at warp snail speed….and dodges just as quick…but all in all….pretty cool game to play for just about anyone.

  3. The game is fun, though it is too short. The only other problem is a lack of customization of your char weapons spells and etc… Viking smash!!! The game could have been much better if they put a little bit of effort in to it, in fact along those lines I would love to see a remake or sequel. If they fixed either problem I would take it up to 4 stars and 5 if they fixed both problems…

  4. Great game for Viking fans. Lot’s of open end exploring to be had. If bloody combat is what you crave, prepare for Valhalla!.

  5. This is a very fun game that does not require a tremendous amount of gaming experience to play well. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a good game especially for those people who are not quite used to some of the more dexterity-needed games like COD. The images and combat movements are done very well and I for one have played this game on multiple gaming platforms and have always enjoyed it.
